Hurricane Ian

As you may be aware, Hurricane Ian formed early Monday morning and was expected to become a major Category 4 hurricane as a large stretch of the Gulf Coast of Florida was preparing for a possible landfall later this week.

While South Florida remained out of the cone of concern, forecasters said Ian could reach major hurricane strength before making an impact on the northern part of the state in the coming days. Considerable flooding is expected across south Florida.

  • Do a walk-through of your home and put away any objects that can fly away.
  • Do not walk-through flood waters. Do not drive into flooded areas.
