Welcome to Hidden Trails

Hidden Trails is conveniently situated just off Florida’s Turnpike in Tamarac, Florida. The community boasts a Tot Lot children’s play area, relaxing Zen Garden, expansive community pool & cabana and is just across from Mainland’s Park, where residents can enjoy a walking trail with fitness stations, and much more. Residents also find themselves only minutes from the beaches, dining, shopping and entertainment options the area is famous for.

Alligator Awareness & Safety Protocol


Living with Alligators
As part of living in South Florida, it’s important to remember that alligators are a natural part of our environment. While actual encounters may be rare, they can occur in lakes, ponds, canals, or even yards.

1. Stay Aware & Calm
– It is not unusual to see an alligator near a water body in Florida.
– Most alligators are not aggressive if left alone.

2. Safety First
– Do not feed, approach, or attempt to move an alligator.
– Keep children and pets away from the water’s edge.
– Always supervise pets outdoors, especially near lakes or canals.

3. Reporting a Sighting
– If you see an alligator that appears dangerous, aggressive, or poses a threat, notify management immediately.
– For urgent safety concerns, contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-392-4286.

4. Community Response
– Management will assess reported alligator sightings.
– If necessary, we will coordinate with FWC for safe and lawful removal.

Reminder: Florida law protects alligators. Only licensed trappers working with FWC may capture or relocate them. Please contact District Management below with any questions.

Community Courtesy Reminder – Parking & Driving Safety

Dear Residents,

As part of our ongoing efforts to keep the community safe and accessible, we’d like to share a few friendly reminders regarding parking and driving within the neighborhood:

Sidewalk Access & Vehicle Overflow
We understand that some homes have multiple vehicles, and in certain cases, blocking part of the sidewalk may be unavoidable due to limited driveway space. However, during inspections, we’ve also observed many instances where vehicles are blocking the sidewalk unnecessarily, even when there is room to park properly within the driveway.

Please make every effort to avoid blocking sidewalks, when possible, as this creates challenges for pedestrians, including children, elderly residents, and those using strollers or mobility aids.

Safe Driving Within the Community
We’d also like to remind all residents and visitors that the speed limit within the community is 25 MPH. Speed bumps are in place throughout the neighborhood to help reinforce this limit and promote safe driving.

Please be mindful when navigating through the community:

  • Avoid cutting into the wrong lane.
  • Use turns signals.
  • Do not reverse into driveways unexpectedly without checking your surroundings.

Staying alert and driving cautiously helps keep everyone safe.

Hurricane Season officially begins on June 1st, and we want to ensure you and your family are fully prepared. Now is the ideal time to start getting your home ready, securing your property, and planning for any potential storms.

The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1st through November 30th, which is when most tropical storms and hurricanes are likely to develop in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea.

Dear Homeowners & Residents,

Dry Season: Water Your Lawn Wisely

As we continue through the dry season (November 30th to April 1st), it’s essential to care for your lawn properly. To keep your grass healthy, we recommend watering it deeply two to three times a week. A thorough soaking will provide the necessary moisture for your turf without requiring daily watering.

It’s also important to continue watering your lawns to ensure they stay healthy and vibrant. We’ve noticed that some lawns are showing signs of stress, including patchy grass and an increase in weeds. Taking a few simple steps now can help prevent further damage and keep your yard looking its best.

We encourage all homeowners to give their lawns the attention they need as we move through the dry season. Continued violations may result in additional enforcement actions, including fines, as outlined in the community’s rules and regulations.

Hidden Trails Dry Season

Dear Homeowners & Residents,

As we approach the dry season, it’s important to start preparing our lawns to ensure they stay healthy and vibrant. We’ve noticed that some lawns are beginning to show signs of stress, including patchy grass and an increase in weeds. Taking a few simple steps now can help prevent further damage and keep your yard looking its best.

Here are a few reminders for maintaining your lawn:

  1. Watering: Be sure to water your grass more frequently as the weather gets warmer and drier. Early morning is the best time to water, allowing the grass to absorb moisture before the heat of the day.
  2. Avoid Parking on the Grass: Parking vehicles on your lawn can cause compaction, which makes it harder for water and nutrients to reach the roots.

We encourage all homeowners to give their lawns the attention they need as we head into the dry season. If you need additional guidance or resources, feel free to reach out.

Hurricane Milton Update

Hidden Trails HOA Board Members are closely monitoring Hurricane Milton, strong storm, that is expected to make landfall in the west coast of Florida tomorrow. At this time there are tropical storm warning and flood watch issued. However heavy rainfall is expected across South Florida through mid-week and can lead to localized flooding.

Hidden Trails HOA recommends the following:

  • Bring items indoors that may easily blow over during wing gusts
  • Avoid driving or walking in standing or ponding water
  • Allow extra time for travel.

Note: Phoenix Management Offices will be closed Wednesday afternoon and Thursday.
We will be reopening on Friday at 8:00am
